Cricket Press
Sara lives and works as an artist in Lexington, KY. She is one half of the studio Cricket Press, a local business focusing on illustration and design. Since founding the studio, Cricket Press has become a thriving business by translating their illustrations through the hand-printed processes of letterpress and screen printing. When she’s not ruining her clothes slinging ink on paper, Sara also spends time on making various hand-printed goods and hand-crafted items. Along with her design work, Sara also writes, illustrates, and publishes comics under the name Tiny Ghost Stories. Her work is influenced by childhood nostalgia and adventure, exploring the outdoors, and being lost in the woods. "Using one's imagination to create magical spaces is a child’s ultimate freedom... and this coming of age period can sometimes feel a little scary." - Sara Turner
Mo first connected with Sara in 2011 when she joined Revelry selling screen prints by Cricket Press. Their art relationship evolved when Mo found out she made fascinating miniature paintings on wood which resulted in two solo shows. Since then, Sara has been involved in multiple print shows and taken part in our special exhibits benefiting the Kentucky National Land Trust.
