Edward Hopper's "Nighthawks" depicts a time of fear and the paranoia that gripped the United States after the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The warm light and sense of quiet space in a retro setting makes it one of my all time favorites, and the topics of fear and paranoia easily lend themselves to a spooky setting. This mixed media piece is created with books, bottle caps, found objects, polymer clay, wrapping paper, paint chips & wooden stir sticks.
This versatile sculpture can sit on shelf or hang on the wall, and the diner lights up using LED lights with a standard wall plug. Unplug it in a darkened room, and the ghosts will glow in the dark!
